George Halls Cycle Centre - History

George Halls Cycle Centre started out life as St Mary's Motors around 1898. Somewhere in the 1950's the manager at the time Fred Stanley bought the business and changed the name to Fred Stanley Cycles. When he wanted to retire in 1975, ex professional cyclist George Halls bought the business.

Neil Holman, the current owner started working for George on Tuesday 2nd June 1985 and bought the business from George him when he wanted to retire on May 2nd 2004.  

Cycle Centre Expansion

The business expanded from No12 Northampton Road to No10 & 12 in 1993 to cope with the ever changing cycle industry and the ever expanding choice of bicycles.

As well as running the business, Neil Holman also runs CATS Mountain Bike Club, co-ordinates the Friday Night Summer Series (FNSS) and organises events for the Midlands MBO (MMBO)

This website came about after Neil Holman started clearing out old and obsolete stock on eBay and kept receiving "Question for seller", it has expanded from there.

Our eBay store is still a big part of our internet business but our e.shop has a lot more items for sale and is more indepth on each product.
